Emily White is the co-founder of Whitesmith Entertainment, a management and consulting firm based in New York and Los Angeles. White's background spans the Entertainment industries with positions at Michael Cohl's Live Nation Artists, Madison House Inc., MTV UK, VH1 Classic, Don Law Company, WBCN-FM (RIP), Q Division, and Powerfinger Promotions. Under Cohl as well as Mike Luba at Madison House, White worked her way up by developing artists with strategies rooted in grassroots fan building with a modern twist ranging from The Dresden Dolls to Zac Brown Band. In 2008, Whitesmith Entertainment was launched with business partner Keri Smith Esguia guiding the careers of Brendan Benson of The Raconteurs, members of Wilco via The Autumn Defense, Urge Overkill, Hockey, The Big Sleep as well as newcomers Future Monarchs, Springtime Carnivore and EDM star Fox Stevenson. Whitesmith's Comedy division looks after W. Kamau Bell, Kevin Avery Janine Brito and Kristina Wong. Pulling from her personal background as a Division I NCAA scholarship swimmer, Whitesmith started working with world-class athletes in 2012 including Olympic gold medalist Anthony Ervin as well as World Championship medalists Eugene Godsoe and David Plummer. White manages her athletes with a current music industry mindset, giving birth to Dreamfuel in 2013 - the premiere crowdfunding platform for sports. Additionally, White launched Readymade Records & Publishing with management client Brendan Benson in 2012, overseeing 8 releases to date including Cory Chisel & The Wandering Sons as well as Eric Burdon & The Greenhornes. White is currently working on her first book: Interning 101 and sits on CASH Music's board, an open source direct to fan non-profit founded by Jesse Von Doom.
