A&R – Sony/ATV Music Publishing

Rebecca Sahim works as an A&R for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. She got her first real “shot” (after many jobs) when she quickly molded an internship with Quincy Jones Productions into a Junior Artist management role. At QJP, she worked closely with Quincy Jones and his VP, Adam Fell on a wide spectrum of projects. Rebecca helped facilitate several of Quincy’s endeavors including music, movie production, endorsements and book deals. Rebecca oversaw the production of “We Are the World”, which benefited the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. She helped A&R on Quincy’s Soul Bossa Nostra album in 2010 (via Interscope) and curated Q’s vast music repertoire for legendary artists like Amy Winehouse, Usher, Robin Thicke, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson and many more. After working nearly 3 years with Quincy, Rebecca focused on her passion in A&R and began working at Atlantic & APG, under Mike Caren and Ben Maddahi. It was during her time there that Rebecca realized what she loved most was publishing - and soon after she left to work as an A&R assistant at Sony/ATV under Jody Gerson and Tab Nkhereanye. Under further guidance of Sam Taylor and Tyler Childs, she helped coordinate writing sessions and land song cuts with artists such as Rihanna, JLo, among others. In November 2013, Rebecca joined the executive team at Sony ATV. As an A&R for the company, Rebecca is hands–on with Sony ATV’s diverse roster of writers, producers and artists, and actively scouts for new talent to sign.
