Songwriter – “Somewhere With You,” “Better Dig Two,” “Merry Go 'Round,” “Mama's Broken Heart”

Shane McAnally is an award-winning songwriter and producer. He was born and raised in Mineral Wells, Texas and signed a recording deal with Curb Records in 1999. His self-titled debut album produced three singles for him on the Billboard charts, including "Are Your Eyes Still Blue." In 2008, Lee Ann Womack recorded his song, "Last Call," which earned her a Grammy nomination. He went on to write a string of #1 singles including Kenny Chesney's "Somewhere with You" and "Come Over," Jake Owen's "Alone with You," Luke Bryan's "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye," The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two," Lady Antebellum's "Downtown” and Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart.” In 2012, he produced Kacey Musgraves' major label debut Same Trailer Different Park with Musgraves and fellow songwriter, Luke Laird. He wrote nine of the album's twelve tracks including the first three singles: "Merry Go 'Round," "Blowin' Smoke” and “Follow Your Arrow” In 2013, the Country Music Association recognized him with two Song of the Year nominations for “Merry Go 'Round” and “Mama’s Broken Heart” and two more as producer for the single “Merry Go 'Round” and the album Same Trailer, Different Park. He was also nominated by the Academy of Country Music as Songwriter of the Year earlier that year. He has recently completed production on new country music for Kelly Clarkson and he is developing two new acts: Sam Hunt and Old Dominion.
